Meet Keri Bosch & Kiesha Hall

My name is Keri Bosch and I have been happily married to my husband Chris for 12 years.  We have four amazing daughters, three of which are five year old triplets, and my oldest is seven. I also teach a three year old preschool class part time and lead a womens discipleship group through our church. I am so excited to be a part of this team going to Ethiopia to serve and minister to orphans. As God has blessed our family with four beautiful, healthy children, there are many children in the world without families and without the blessing of health who need to know there is a God who created them, knows them, and loves them. It is the desire of my heart, the desire God has placed there, to be a part of showing and telling these children just that. There are many living in Ethiopia who have never heard the name of Jesus and I want to be someone that introduces that name and His love to the precious little ones living there.  I also want to be obedient to Gods word to care for the vulnerable of the world and show them Gods love. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for not only our team, but the children and people of Ethiopia we will meet!

My name is Kiesha Hall and I have been married for 11 years and we have 2 wonderful children.  I decided to join the team in February.  After much prayer and talking with family and friends I made the decision to go to Ethiopia this summer. A friend/coworker mentioned that she was leading a mission team going to Ethiopia this August.  I felt a pull on my heart that I wanted to join her team.  For several years, I have wanted to go on a mission trip but did not feel that I was ready for many reasons. This opportunity felt different to me and I started to pray about it. God started showing me in different ways (through His word, my husband and friends) that He was giving me this opportunity and wanted me to share His word and to love on these children. I am so excited about this wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord!

Cindy Douglass - Team Leader

Hi, my name is Cindy Douglass. My family and I call Raleigh, NC home, but are originally from East Tennessee. Go Big Orange! I have been married to my husband Drew for 15 years and we have two boys, Lucas and Owen. I have had the privilege to be able to teach young children the last 12 years and truly love it. In my spare time I love to read anything I can get my hands on. I also am a part of my church's women's group and lead a group of ladies as they strive to look more like Jesus everyday.

I am humbled that I get to lead this team to Ethiopia. It is such a great group and it is going to be such a blessing to serve alongside of them. My husband and I are currently in the Ethiopia adoption program through America World and hope to bring our daughter home in the future. As current wait times continue to lengthen in Ethiopia, I feel that now more than ever we need to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a real and tangible way. We need to bridge the gap so to speak as we wait on God to work in the situations as only He can. We need to be the voice that says you are loved, you are special and you have not be forgotten! I can't wait to share with you all what God does through this trip.

HI!

Hi everyone! Welcome to our team blog. We would like to tell you a little about ourselves and how God is moving among us as we prepare to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to serve His children. Our team of twelve is so excited, and a little nervous. However, we are confident that God has our trip in the palm of His hand and that all the details will fall into place. In the following posts we will take time to let you know more about ourselves and why we feel called individually to go.

We will be going through the ACT department of America World. They exist to send out short term mission teams to partner long term with orphanages in eight different countries. Please take a few minutes and see all the great things that they are doing to help those most in need.  www.awaa.org/ACT/default.aspx.

We hope you will check back often as we prepare and plan for our journey to Ethiopia to be the hands and feet of Christ in a real and tangible way. We would also covet your prayers as we seek to Glorify our Lord through our team and our trip.
